Dr. Curt McConnell (BDS) GDC registration 62949
Qualifying from King College Hospital in 1987, Dr. McConnell joined The Lindens Dental Centre as a partner in 2009. His interests include Dental Implantology, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Restoring dental implants since 1991, he has extensive experience in the surgical as well as the restorative aspects of implant dentistry.
Dr. McConnell is an associate member of British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and a member of the British Endodontic Society. His hobbies include skiing, motorcycling and rugby. He also coaches junior rugby at the local club.
Dr. Dudley Knight (BDS), GDC registration 51612
Dr. Knight qualified from Kings College Hospital Dental school in 1977. He did a six month house conservation and joined Lindens Dental Centre in 1978. He has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and does bridges, veneers and bleaching treatments for patients. He is also involved with NHS projects.
A married man with two grown up children, his hobbies include golf, hockey and going to the gym. He enjoys good food, wine and vintage port.
Dr. Richard Bateman (BDS) GDC registration 52682
Dr. R Bateman started practising at The Lindens Dental Centre in 1978, right after qualifying from King College Hospital. He developed an early interest in orthodontics and entered the GDC's specialist register in 2000. He is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society and regularly attends their conferences. He is also a regular at the American Orthodontic conferences and keeps up to date with the latest developments in his chosen field.
He is the Vice Chairman of the Croydon Local Dental committee, chairman of the Croydon Local orthodontic committee, secretary of the Bromley LOC and the Orthodontic advisor to Richmond and Twickenham P.C.T. His hobbies include golf, tennis, motor racing and flying.
Dr. C Akrivopoulou (DDS, MClinDent(London)) GDC registration 176215
Dr. Chaido Akrivopoulou graduated from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany in 2005. She has extensive experience in general dentistry and oral surgery. After she moved to the UK, she was selected for the specialist training in Periodontology at Eastman Dental Institute (University College, London) in 2007. This is the only programme in the UK which is recognised by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). She has successfully treated patients of advanced gum disease and is an expert on both conventional and regenerative periodontal surgery. She is also competent at periodontal plastic surgery and complex implant therapy.
She is a part-time Honorary Clinical Assistant in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Actively involved in research, she is about to complete her Doctorate thesis on the survival and success of fixed partial dentures on Ankylos implants. Her field of research includes both clinical oral microbiology and implant dentistry.
Karen Edmunds, Dental Hygienist, GDC registration 2286
Qualifying as a dental nurse, Karen Edmunds went on to study hygiene with the Royal Navy and graduated in 1981. She spent two years in the periodontal department at University College Dental school and worked in the West End for five years. She moved closer home, working in the local practices before joining The Lindens Dental Centre in 1985.
Karen is a member of the British Dental Hygienist and Therapist association. She regularly undergoes continuing professional education. She is also a loving mother of two boys and loves spending time with her family.
Jane Wade, Dental Hygienist GDC registration 2776
Jane is a qualified Dental Surgery Assistant. She is also a qualified Dental Hygienist from St. George's Hospital, London. Graduating in 1984, she has worked in a variety of dental practices. For over 15 years, she worked in a dental practice in Chelsea, London and then moved closer home.
She has been with The Lindens Dental Centre for 22 years and continues to promote dental health and education to her patients. She regularly attends continued professional development courses. Jane is happily married and has two daughters.
Dr. Rosie Sandhu (BDS) GDC registration 78313
Graduating from GKT London University in 2000, Dr. Sandhu has been working at Lindens Dental Centre since 2001. She delivers a full array of NHS and private dental services including Invisalign clear braces..
Dr. Sandhu also has a keen interest in facial aesthetics and uses simple methods to reduce frown and wrinkle lines.
